Raipur: Traffic will start soon on the new bridge being built between Sagnighat and Sillighat
95 percent of the bridge work is complete, bridge is being built on Shivnath river at a cost of Rs 14 crore
The work of the new bridge under construction on the Shivnath river between Sagnighat and Sillighat in Durg district is on the verge of completion. 95 percent of the work of the bridge being built at a cost of more than Rs 14 crore has been completed. Currently, the work of CC road construction on both sides of the bridge is in progress. In the next few days, after BT work on the bridge, the bridge will be ready for traffic.
The Public Works Department is constructing a 400 meter long new bridge between Sagnighat and Sillighat on the Shivnath river on the road connecting Durg-Dhamdha road to Jalabandha-Khairagadh road. This will benefit the nearly 20 thousand population of 12 villages of the area as well as those who use this route to travel to the district headquarters Durg, development block headquarters Dhamdha, Jalabandha and Khairagarh. People of many villages like Dhamdha, Nankatthi, Sagni, Litiya, Bori and Silli will now be able to travel unhindered to the villages across the river throughout the year. This will provide great relief to the people of the area.
