Every Woman Has the Potential to Write a New Success Story: Chief Minister

Gorakhpur : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that every woman has the potential to write a new success story. There is no shortage of opportunities for women to work. The need is to select a field, receive training in it, prepare oneself accordingly, and move forward with hard work and dedication.

CM Yogi was addressing the inauguration ceremony of seven milk chilling centers under the Shri Baba Gorakhnath Kripa Milk Producer Organization, operated by the State Rural Livelihood Mission (SRLM), at Yogiraj Baba Gambhirnath Auditorium on Saturday. During the event, he distributed certificates to outstanding Electricity Sakhis, BC Sakhis, Lakhpati Didis, Namo Drone Didis, and Bank Sakhis. He also transferred Rs. 242.30 crore in assistance to 7,405 women’s self-help groups associated with the National Livelihood Mission.

Women’s Empowerment is Essential for a Strong Society

Addressing the program, CM Yogi said that no society can be strong and capable while neglecting half its population. To make the nation and society strong and powerful, efforts must be made in the direction of women’s safety, respect, and self-reliance. Encouraging women, he said that success earns applause, while failure is rejected. Life is meant for success, not rejection. He emphasized moving in the right direction and, in case of failure, reviewing and rectifying shortcomings. He stated that there is no substitute for hard work, and success stories are written through dedicated efforts in the right direction.

A New Era of Women’s Empowerment Inspired by PM Modi

CM Yogi remarked that a new era of women’s empowerment—focusing on women’s safety, respect, and self-reliance—has started under the inspiration and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Schemes like Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, Nari Vandana, the state’s Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana, and Matru Vandana Yojana are all aimed at empowering women. For the first time in independent India, women are experiencing that policies are being created in their name, and they are benefiting from them. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, household toilets symbolize women’s dignity, while free LPG connections are campaigns for respect and empowerment.

Distribution of ‘Gharauni’ to 40 Lakh Families on December 27

The Chief Minister informed that on December 27, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute ‘Gharauni’ certificates under the PM Swamitva Scheme to 40 lakh families in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, 60 lakh families in the state had already received these certificates.

Shri Baba Gorakhnath Milk Producer Company Can Achieve Success Like Balini

During the event, the Chief Minister encouraged women associated with Shri Baba Gorakhnath Milk Producer Organization to aim higher. Citing the example of Bundelkhand’s Balini Milk Producer Company, CM Yogi said that this company was started by just five women in 2019 in a drought-prone area. Today, it has 71,000 shareholders and collects 2.5 lakh liters of milk daily, with a turnover of Rs. 1,225 crore and a net profit of Rs. 24 crore. The Shri Baba Gorakhnath Milk Producer Company, located in the fertile region of Purvanchal, currently has 12,926 shareholders and collects 33,000 liters of milk daily. CM Yogi urged them to work harder, increase shareholders, motivate people towards animal husbandry, and form milk collection committees in villages. He said that the company has the potential to collect 3 lakh liters of milk daily. The Chief Minister instructed the NRLM mission director to arrange a visit for women associated with Shri Baba Gorakhnath Milk Producer Company to Balini for training.

Women to Achieve Self-Reliance Through GIDA’s Flatted Factory

CM Yogi stated that apart from the milk producer company, women would also become self-reliant through the readymade garment flatted factory being started in GIDA (Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority). Women self-help groups can receive training and work in garment stitching at the factory.

Self-Help Groups Writing New Stories of Self-Reliance

The Chief Minister appreciated the women of self-help groups formed under the Livelihood Mission for their outstanding work in achieving self-reliance. He mentioned that Namo Drone Didis, trained in drone operation, can complete pesticide spraying in an hour that would otherwise take a day. He also highlighted that women in 204 blocks are producing nutrition supplements through Take-Home Ration (THR) plants.

Women’s Dreams Becoming Reality: Ravi Kishan

MP Ravi Kishan said that women dream too, and their dreams should not be crushed. CM Yogi Adityanath is encouraging women in every way to turn their dreams into reality. He said women’s safety, respect, and self-reliance are priorities for both PM Modi and CM Yogi.

Achievements of Self-Help Groups Displayed at Stalls

The Chief Minister visited various stalls set up by self-help groups associated with the National Rural Livelihood Mission and State Rural Livelihood Mission. He reviewed their work and achievements, appreciating their efforts.

CM Yogi Flags Off 10 Prerna Vehicles

CM Yogi flagged off 10 Prerna Vehicles (e-rickshaws) operated by women from self-help groups. He also flagged off a milk van of Shri Baba Gorakhnath Milk Producer Organization.

MoUs Signed and Women Honored in CM’s Presence

During the program, two MoUs for Gorakhpur’s Van Shakti Prerna self-help group were signed in CM Yogi’s presence—one with ONDC and the other with Everest Food Court Varanasi. CM Yogi honored women achievers, including Electricity Sakhi Sunita Devi, Namo Drone Didi Babita Paswan, and Bank Sakhi Sakshi Mishra, by presenting them with certificates. Symbolic checks worth Rs. 70.44 crore for Gorakhpur, Rs. 55.80 crore for Deoria, Rs. 69.86 crore for Maharajganj, and Rs. 40.10 crore for Kushinagar were also distributed to self-help groups.
