Education Must Instill Values: Minister Dilawar Highlights Mewar’s Legacy and Promotes Sports in Schools

Jaipur : Education and Panchayati Raj Minister Shri Madan Dilawar emphasized that any deviation from the mainstream negatively impacts the nation and society. He asserted that no segment of the country should remain detached from the mainstream and stressed the need for incorporating values into education.

Shri Dilawar was on a one-day visit to Udaipur on Monday, where he attended a winter kit distribution event organized by the IIFL Foundation at the Government Girls Senior Secondary School Residency. As the chief guest, he addressed the students during the ceremony and distributed sweaters, shoes, and socks.

The minister highlighted that over seven crore saplings were planted during this year’s monsoon season, with a target of planting more than ten crore saplings in the upcoming monsoon. He also administered a pledge to all attendees in the auditorium to refrain from using polythene.

Recognition of Mewar’s Global Significance
Speaking to the media after the event, Shri Dilawar praised the rich heritage of Mewar, describing it as the land of Maharana Pratap, Panna Dhai, and Bhamashah. He remarked that every particle of Mewar resonates with patriotism and service and that the entire world draws inspiration from the region’s legacy.

He further stated that efforts are underway to ensure that every school in the state has a playground. In line with the vision of the Honorable Chief Minister, students pursuing excellence in any field will receive appropriate government assistance.

Interaction with Cricket Talent Sushila Meena
Shri Dilawar had a video call with Sushila Meena, a budding cricket talent from Pratapgarh known for her bowling action reminiscent of Zaheer Khan. He praised her skills and extended his best wishes for her progress in sports and academics, assuring her of all possible support.

During the Anand Utsav program at the Residency Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Shri Dilawar engaged with students and highlighted the importance of honoring talents like Sushila. He also reiterated the state government’s commitment to providing playgrounds and sports equipment in every school.

The event organizer, IIFL Foundation, assured that they would extend proper support to Sushila to aid her development in sports.
