Governor Ramesh Bais unfurls National Tricolour on 65th Maharashtra Day 

Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais unfurled the National Flag on the occasion of the Sixty Fifth Maharashtra State Foundation Day at the State function held at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Park in Mumbai on Wednesday (1 May).

The Governor inspected the Ceremonial Parade and accepted a salute from the marching columns.  The Governor then read out his Maharashtra Day Message to the people.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Guardian Minister of Mumbai Suburban District Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Chief Secretary Nitin Kareer, DGP Rashmi Shukla, Municipal Commissioner of Mumbai and Administrator Bhushan Gagrani, Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar, Consuls and Honorary Consul of various countries and senior officers of the Armed Forces, Civil, Police and Fire Services and citizens were present. 

Columns of State Reserve Police Force, Greater Mumbai Armed Police Force, Greater Mumbai City Riot Control Squad, Greater Mumbai Armed Women Police Force, Mumbai Railway Police Force, Colour Parties carrying Maharashtra Police Flag, State Reserve Police Force Flag, Director, Maharashtra Fire Services Flag and Greater Mumbai Fire Brigade Flag, Greater Mumbai Traffic Police Force, Mumbai Fire Brigade, Greater Mumbai Municipal Security Force, Security Guards Board Greater Mumbai and Thane District and Brass Bands of Mumbai Police, Mumbai Railway Police & State Reserve Police Force and Pipe Band of Principal SRPF Training Centre Nanveej, Daund participated in the Ceremonial Parade.

Mobile Columns of 4 Women Nirbhaya Squad of Brihan Mumbai Police and 1 High Rise Fire Fighting Vehicle Hydraulic Platform – 64 Meter Turn Table Ladder also participated.
