“Shiv Srishti to Add Glory to Baramati – DCM Ajit Pawar Inspection of Various Development Works in the City.

Baramati : Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar directed that a grand Shiv Srishti should be established in Baramati, blending ancient and modern elements, to add to the city’s grandeur, ensuring that the glorious history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is presented to the world. This was said during the inspection of various ongoing public development works in the Baramati area.

Mr. Pawar inspected public development works like the Taluka Fruit Plant Nursery, Shiv Srishti, Swimming Pool, and Kanheri Forest Garden, and received information from the concerned officials. Present at the inspection were District Council Chief Executive Officer Gajanan Patil, Additional Police Superintendent Ganesh Biradar, Assistant Conservator of Forests Mahadev Mohite, Sub-Divisional Officer Vaibhav Navodkar, Chief Engineer of Mahavitaran Dharmaraj Petkar, Sub-Divisional Agricultural Officer Tulshiram Chaudhari, among others.

Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Pawar stated that while constructing Shiv Srishti, care should be taken to ensure that the work is of high quality, durable, and completed on time. He emphasized that after the completion of Shiv Srishti, citizens should feel proud of the work. He also instructed that more trees should be planted in the area to make it greener and well-planned. Care should be taken to ensure that no projects are left pending, and necessary funds will be made available for the same.

He suggested that minor repairs should be completed for the Taluka Fruit Nursery at Kanheri and that protective walls and roadside tree plantations should be done. The planting of ornamental trees should also be carried out, and care should be taken for the maintenance of fruit trees like Mango, Coconut, and Custard Apple.

While working on development in the Kanheri Forest Garden area, Mr. Pawar recommended planting local tree species that shed fewer leaves, grow straight, and provide more shade. Attention should be given to ensuring that these trees survive after planting.

For the entrance gate of the forest garden, a color scheme in harmony with the environment should be adopted. Also, a seating arrangement and stairs should be designed keeping in mind the safety of children and senior citizens, ensuring that there are no obstructions while ascending or descending. Boating should be started in the lake, and care should be taken to ensure that both the water and the surroundings remain clean. After the work is completed, the area should appear natural.

Regarding the new swimming pool under construction, Mr. Pawar suggested that high-quality and durable tiles should be used. There should be no gaps between the walls and tiles. Women’s safety should also be considered in the design. Convenient steps should be installed for the citizens to easily ascend and descend. While doing the development work, care should be taken not to obstruct the canal walls, he added.

Present during the inspection were Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department Amol Pawar, Executive Engineer of the Water Resources Department Digambar Dubal, Tehsildar Ganesh Shinde, Group Development Officer Anil Bagal, Chief Officer Mahesh Rokde, Forest Range Officer Ashwini Shinde, Taluka Agricultural Officer Supriya Bandal, and President of Baramati Cooperative Bank Sachin Satav, among others.
