Vaishnav Akhadas mark grand entry into Mahakumbh
Mahakumbh Nagar : Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Mahakumbh is witnessing the vibrant participation of religious traditions. Following the entry of Lord Shiv worshiper Sanyasi Akhadas in the cantonment area the Vaishnav Akhadas, worshippers of Lord Vishnu, made their grand entry on Wednesday.

Saints from the Vaishnav Akhadas were welcomed with floral showers at various locations across the city. The presence of these Akhadas marks the growing expanse of Sanatan Dharma’s legacy at the grand Mahakumbh, set to begin on the banks of the Triveni on January 13, drawing millions of devotees in a celebration of faith and devotion.
The grand entry procession of all three Vaishnav Akharas began from the KP Ground complex, led by Tulsi Peethadhishwar Jagadguru Ram Bhadracharya. Over 10,000 Vaishnav saints participated in the event.
Mahant Rajendra Das, National President of All India Shri Panch Nirmohi Ani Akhada, mentioned that more than a hundred Maha Mandaleshwars and Dwaracharyas of the three Vaishnav Akhadas took part in the Pravesh Yatra (entry procession).

The three Vaishnav Akhadas jointly organized a grand cantonment entry procession that drew massive crowds lining both sides of the city streets. Leading the procession were the Dharma Dhwajas and idols of Lord Hanuman, followed by the colorful Dharma Dhwaj of the Akdaras’ Khalsas.
After the chariot of Tulsi Peethadhishwar Jagadguru Ram Bhadracharya, the procession featured elephants, horses, and camels carrying seated saints, accompanied by traditional music and band performances. Among the highlights was the display of martial arts skills by Vaishnav saints, showcasing their dedication to the principle of “a rosary in one hand, a spear in the other.”
Flower petals were showered on the saints performing these captivating demonstrations, creating a festive atmosphere. The Mela administration also warmly welcomed the Vaishnav Akhadas at various points as they entered the grand Mahakumbh area.
