Chhattisgarh State Youth Festival 2024-25
Cultural presentations won the hearts of the audience at Raipur Science College ground on the second day of Chhattisgarh State Youth Festival 2024-25. In this event decorated with colorful programs, a unique confluence of Chhattisgarhi folk traditions, rich culture, and modern music was seen.
The program started with a wonderful performance by Arug Band. Padma Shri Anuj Sharma and his team mesmerized the audience with Chhattisgarhi traditional folk songs and modern tunes. Anuj Sharma set the stage on fire with his Ram Bhajan “Hari Anant, Hari Katha Ananta”. After this, songs like “Jhan Bhoolav Maa Baap La” dedicated to parents and folk song “Chhaiyan Bhuiyan La Chhodke Jawaiya” made the audience emotional. The audience was forced to dance by giving a melodious presentation of Dadriya songs like Mate Raibe.
Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma also took the mike in the Yuva Mahotsav and graced the festival with his performance. He won the hearts of the audience by presenting the songs of famous poet Laxman Masturia in his own style. His singing displayed the simplicity and depth of Chhattisgarhi folk songs.
Dayara Band brought alive the beauty of Bastar
Along with this, Dayara Band mesmerized everyone with their renditions of their songs “Aisa Jadoo Hai Mere Bastar Mein” and “Bailadila Bailadila”. This performance of Mumbai artists and local singers of Bastar brought alive the rich culture and unique natural beauty of Bastar through their songs. The band showcased the rich folk culture and natural beauty of Bastar and the audience was moved to see the unique amalgamation of local artists of Bastar with Mumbai artists.
During the program, the wonderful blend of Chhattisgarh’s folk culture, traditional art, and modern music made the Youth Festival a memorable event. On this occasion, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, MLA Shri Anuj Sharma, State Youth Commission Chairman Shri Vishwa Vijay Singh Tomar, public representatives, youth who achieved success in various fields were present in large numbers.
