A Celebration of Rajasthan’s Cultural Heritage: Sambhar Festival 2025 Begins

Jaipur : The grand celebration of Rajasthan’s cultural heritage, Sambhar Festival 2025, commenced on Friday with much enthusiasm.

From thrilling adventure activities to vibrant performances, the first day of the festival was both spectacular and memorable. With enchanting folk performances and a lively display of tradition, the event marked an unforgettable beginning. Former MLA of Phulera Constituency, Mr. Nirmal Kumawat, and Additional Director of Tourism, Mr. Rakesh Sharma, officially inaugurated the Sambhar Festival 2025 by releasing balloons. In the evening, a grand Deepotsav (Festival of Lights) and Maha Aarti were held at the sacred Devyani Teerth Lake.

Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari described the Sambhar Festival as a unique effort to bring Rajasthan’s art, culture, and natural heritage to the global stage. She expressed confidence that the festival would soon become an international attraction, with significant progress already underway toward this goal.

Tourism Department Deputy Director, Mr. Upendra Singh Shekhawat, shared that Sambhar Festival 2025 will offer tourists and locals an opportunity to experience the region’s cultural, religious, and adventurous spirit from Friday through 28th January.

Mr. Shekhawat also highlighted that Sambhar’s Salt Lake is increasingly gaining popularity as a destination for pre-wedding shoots and astro-tourism. Various activities and events will be held at locations such as Jhapok, Sambhar Salt Campus, Devyani Teerth Lake, and the fairgrounds during the festival.
