Kejriwal Will Not Be the Next Chief Minister of Delhi: Alka Lamba

Delhi: Congress candidate from the Kalkaji Assembly constituency, Alka Lamba, launched a sharp attack on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, declaring that he will not return as Delhi’s Chief Minister. Speaking during her campaign, Lamba confidently stated, “Arvind Kejriwal will not become the next Chief Minister of Delhi. Congress candidate Sandeep Dixit will defeat him from the New Delhi Assembly seat.”

Lamba’s remarks came in response to an audio clip recently released by the Congress, which purportedly implicates the AAP in the liquor scam. Referring to the clip, she alleged that an AAP MLA could be heard discussing the distribution of bribes in the scam. “Kejriwal and his government were caught in the liquor scam, and while they have managed to secure bail, they remain tainted. Kejriwal is bound by a court-imposed restriction that prevents him from becoming Chief Minister until the ban is lifted. It is only a matter of time before he goes to jail again,” she claimed.

Commenting on a recent incident involving the son of an AAP MLA from the Okhla Assembly constituency, Lamba criticized the party, saying, “Law and rules should apply equally to everyone.”

As part of her campaign efforts, Alka Lamba visited East of Kailash on Saturday, where she interacted with residents and promised to address their issues. During her visit, she highlighted the area’s long-standing sewer problems, stating that the sewer lines have not been upgraded in years. Lamba held AAP leader Atishi, who is also contesting from Kalkaji, accountable for the lack of progress. “Atishi has been part of the Delhi government for the past 10 years. Why has the government failed to resolve the sewer issue? The time for excuses is over. The public wants change, and Congress will deliver it,” she asserted.

Lamba assured residents that, if elected, she would replicate the developmental work she had accomplished in Chandni Chowk. “If given the opportunity, I promise to bring similar progress to Kalkaji,” she concluded.

With her bold statements and focus on local issues, Lamba is positioning herself as a strong contender in the upcoming elections, challenging both AAP and BJP candidates.
