₹8 Crore Allocated for Further Construction of Court Building: Deputy CM Ajit Pawar
Pune : To ensure justice for litigants, it is crucial for budding lawyers to continually learn, said Justice Revati Mohite-Dere of the Bombay High Court. She emphasized that “Access to Justice for All” requires the expansion of judicial infrastructure wherever necessary. Justice Mohite-Dere inaugurated the District and Additional Sessions Judge and Senior Civil Judge Court in Indapur. Speaking at the event, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar announced an additional allocation of ₹8 crore in the upcoming budget for constructing the third and fourth floors of the court building.
Justice Mohite-Dere underlined the importance of adequate judicial facilities, noting that the increasing number of cases reflects public trust in the judiciary. She urged young lawyers to work diligently, continuously learn from senior advocates, and maintain professionalism. “Justice delayed is justice denied,” she added, advising lawyers to avoid unnecessary adjournments and assist underprivileged litigants by taking up pro bono cases.
Deputy CM Ajit Pawar further announced a ₹20 lakh immediate allocation for temporary facilities for lawyers near the court building. He reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening judicial infrastructure and ensuring efficient justice delivery.
This new court in Indapur will significantly reduce the burden on Baramati courts, benefiting 100-125 lawyers and 500-1,000 litigants who no longer need to travel long distances. Other dignitaries present included Justice Sandeep Marne, MP Supriya Sule, Sports Minister Dattatraya Bharne, and senior judicial officials.
