“Our Policy is Clear – Words for Words, Bullets for Bullets” – CM Vishnu Deo Sai

Bastar Will Soon Witness Peace and Stability

Raipur : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has reaffirmed his government’s firm stance on Naxal extremism, stating, “Our policy is clear – words will be met with words, and bullets will be answered with bullets.” He emphasized that those Naxals who wish to surrender and return to the mainstream will be provided with a better life and rehabilitation facilities. However, those who continue the path of violence will face strict action.

Praising the security forces for the increasing number of Naxal surrenders in Bastar, the CM extended his congratulations and saluted their indomitable courage. He highlighted that today, seven Maoists in Kanker district surrendered, carrying a total bounty of ₹32 lakh on their heads. Recently, 27 Maoists from Narayanpur and nine from Sukma (with a combined bounty of ₹52 lakh) had also laid down their arms. He credited this success to his government’s effective surrender policy and relentless anti-Naxal operations.

CM Sai shared that so far, 941 Naxals have surrendered, while 1,112 have been arrested. Additionally, 265 Naxals have been neutralized in encounters. The declining influence of Naxal ideology and the desire for a better life are driving more insurgents to surrender, signaling that Naxalism is nearing its end.

The Chief Minister mentioned that during his visits to Bastar, he frequently interacts with former Naxals who express relief and happiness after leaving the Maoist movement. His government is focusing on eradicating Naxal influence in highly affected villages by developing infrastructure and basic amenities through government schemes.

Furthermore, 15,000 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana have been sanctioned for surrendered Naxals and families affected by Naxal violence. CM Sai assured that Maoist terror will be eliminated within a set timeframe, and Bastar will soon experience peace, harmony, and stability.
