‘Maharashtra State Amateur Marathi Drama Competition’ at Rangsharda Natyamandir; Free Entry for Audience
Mumbai : The Directorate of Cultural Affairs has organized the final round of the 63rd Maharashtra State Amateur Marathi Drama Competition 2024-25 in Mumbai. The competition will be held from February 17 to March 15, 2025, at Rangsharda Natyamandir in Bandra, with free entry for drama enthusiasts.

This prestigious event is being organized under the guidance of Maharashtra’s Cultural Affairs Minister, Adv. Ashish Shelar, and Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister & Cultural Affairs Department, Vikas Kharge.
A total of 45 plays will be staged during the final round, all of which can be enjoyed free of cost. Complimentary entry passes are available at Shri Shivaji Mandir, Dadar.
The preliminary round of the competition was conducted at 23 centers across Maharashtra and one in Goa, totaling 24 centers. The top-quality plays that secured first and second prizes in these preliminary rounds have been selected for the final stage.

The final round will commence with the play ‘Panchamved’ on February 17 at 7:00 PM at Rangsharda Natyamandir. Following this, performances will be held daily at 11:30 AM and 7:00 PM. Over 1,200 amateur artists will showcase their talent in this grand event.
Director of Cultural Affairs, Bibhishan Chavare, has urged drama enthusiasts to attend in large numbers to support the competing teams, extend their best wishes, and enjoy a variety of engaging plays covering different themes.
