Assembly Employee Benefits from PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana; Speaker Hands Over ₹2 Lakh Cheque to Family
Jaipur : Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani on Monday handed over a ₹2 lakh cheque to Smt. Pana Kanwar and Shri Pankaj Singh, the wife and son of late Gopal Singh, a fourth-class Assembly employee. The cheque was provided under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) through the State Bank of India’s Assembly branch.
Shri Devnani urged Assembly employees to enroll in Pradhan Mantri Social Security Insurance Schemes to ensure financial protection for their families. In the presence of Assembly Principal Secretary Shri Bharat Bhushan Sharma, SBI Regional Manager Shri M.G. Vyas and SBI Assembly Branch Chief Manager Shri Sanjay Sharma briefed the Speaker on the available schemes.
They informed him that under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, an accidental insurance cover of ₹2 lakh is available for an annual premium of ₹20, while the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana provides life insurance of ₹2 lakh for an annual premium of ₹436. Additionally, individuals from the unorganized sector can benefit from the Atal Pension Yojana for retirement security.
