ISRO to Support Technological Innovations in Chhattisgarh: Expert Team to Visit the State

Raipur : Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman Dr. V. Narayanan met with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai in New Delhi today. The discussion focused on leveraging space technology to drive innovations in agriculture and other key sectors in the state. The meeting highlighted the importance of satellite-based surveys, geo-mapping, natural resource conservation, and the promotion of smart agriculture in Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized that technological advancements in agriculture, water resources, environmental protection, and disaster management could significantly benefit the state. He stated that with ISRO’s collaboration, these sectors would be developed with a scientific approach, providing farmers with precise information and accelerating the state’s progress.

ISRO Expert Team to Visit Chhattisgarh

During the meeting, it was announced that an ISRO expert team will soon visit Chhattisgarh to conduct an in-depth study using satellite imagery, GIS technology, and data analysis. This initiative will enable soil health assessments, accurate evaluation of water sources, flood and drought predictions, and the development of a data-driven decision-making system to enhance agricultural productivity.

Chhattisgarh to Benefit from Advanced Space Technology

With ISRO’s expertise and cutting-edge technology, Chhattisgarh will experience substantial advancements in agriculture, disaster management, smart infrastructure planning, environmental and forest conservation, and more. The use of satellite data will improve crop forecasting, soil quality enhancement, and water resource management. Additionally, real-time monitoring will strengthen early warning systems for natural disasters such as floods, droughts, and wildfires. The application of advanced space data will also support urban planning, transportation systems, environmental balance, and forest area surveillance to prevent illegal deforestation.

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that the partnership between ISRO and the Chhattisgarh government will elevate technological progress in the state. As part of this initiative, research institutions in Chhattisgarh will be involved, providing young scientists with opportunities to contribute to innovations. He further added that ISRO’s support in this new era of space technology will empower the state with future-ready solutions, bringing transformative changes in agriculture, environmental management, water conservation, and disaster mitigation.
