Aizawl Day 2025 Celebrations Begin at Sipai Lammual

Aizawl, February 25, 2025: The Aizawl Day 2025 celebrations, a three-day event, officially commenced today at Sipai Lammual with great enthusiasm. Aizawl Mayor Pu Lalrinenga Sailo graced the occasion as the chief guest.

On the first day of celebrations, awards were distributed to individuals and institutions in various categories, including Faina Kawnga Award (Sanitation Workers), Best Hotel & Restaurant Awards, AMC Short Documentary Competition, College Quiz Competition, and the Aizawl Mayor’s Cup.

The inaugural function was presided over by Municipal Commissioner Pu Joseph H. Lalramsanga, while Deputy Mayor Pu R. Thanglura inaugurated the Exhibition-cum-Stall. Following the inaugural session, the chief guest delivered a speech, and the award distribution ceremony was conducted.

Mayor’s Address

In his speech, Aizawl Mayor Pu Lalrinenga Sailo emphasized the importance of preserving the beauty and cleanliness of Aizawl city, urging citizens to take responsibility for their surroundings. He highlighted the history of Aizawl Day, significant developments under the Aizawl Municipal Corporation (AMC), and various achievements and future plans for urban development.
