Changing Landscape of Bastar: Board Exam Confidential Materials Now Delivered via Road

Bastar Region, Raipur : A remarkable shift in the security landscape of Bastar, a region once heavily affected by Naxal insurgency, has been witnessed. Previously, due to security threats, confidential board exam materials were transported to highly sensitive centers like Jagargunda via helicopters. However, for the first time, these materials have been safely delivered via road, marking a significant milestone in restoring peace and strengthening security in the region. This is not just an administrative success but a symbol of growing stability and confidence in Bastar.

The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education has dispatched exam materials to 18 examination centers, out of which 15 were categorized as sensitive and 3 as highly sensitive. Despite these security classifications, the administration ensured a safe road delivery to Jagargunda, reflecting their firm control over law and order.

For years, remote areas of Bastar faced severe Naxal threats, making ground transportation dangerous. However, with continuous efforts by the government, administration, and security forces, the situation has improved significantly. The successful transportation of exam materials via road, which earlier required air transport, stands as evidence of enhanced law enforcement and stability in the region.

To ensure smooth conduct of the exams, all 18 examination centers have secured storage facilities at nearby police stations and checkpoints. Additionally, two new examination centers, High School Pakela and High School Talnar, have been added this year. Officials from the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, including Shri Mohammad Firoz and Shri Narayan Netam, along with District Education Officer G.R. Mandavi, Coordinator Principal P. Anil Kumar, and other administrative personnel, were present throughout the process.
