3,934 Children Receive Swarnaprashan at Ayurvedic College Hospital

800 Children Given Swarnaprashan Kits and 350 Provided with Bal Raksha Kits

Raipur : At the Government Ayurvedic College Hospital in Raipur, 3,934 children received Swarnaprashan on the auspicious occasion of Pushya Nakshatra. Additionally, 800 children were given Swarnaprashan kits, and 350 children received Bal Raksha kits, which were provided by the All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi.

Director of the AYUSH Department, Ms. Iffat Ara, personally distributed the kits to children and their families at the Ayurvedic College Hospital. She also administered Swarnaprashan to some of the children herself. The event was attended by Dr. G.R. Chaturvedi, Principal of the College, Dr. Sanjay Shukla, Registrar of the Chhattisgarh Ayurvedic Medical Council, and Dr. Aruna Ojha, the in-charge superintendent, along with several faculty members.

According to Dr. Lovkesh Chaturvedi, coordinator of the Swarnaprashan program, the Ayurvedic College Hospital organizes Swarnaprashan administration every Pushya Nakshatra for children aged 0 to 16 years. Swarnaprashan is believed to enhance immunity, digestion, memory, physical strength, and disease resistance. As part of the process, the health of children arriving for Swarnaprashan is also examined. This time, nearly 4,000 children benefitted from the program.
