High-Level Meeting on Rajasthan Mandapam: A New Identity for the State
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized that the state government is committed to boosting industrial, tourism, and cultural activities to achieve its $350 billion economy target. He stated that the Rajasthan Mandapam will offer world-class facilities for business and cultural events, making Rajasthan a preferred destination for major conferences and promoting “Conference Tourism”.
Addressing a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence regarding the proposed Rajasthan Mandapam in Jaipur, CM Sharma directed officials to adopt a holistic approach in planning essential infrastructure and amenities to accommodate events of all scales seamlessly.
A Landmark of Pride for Rajasthan
CM Sharma emphasized that the Rajasthan Mandapam should embody Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Development with Heritage.” He stressed that the venue should combine heritage with high-tech facilities, making it a center for cultural and business events while promoting local art, culture, and tourism.
During the meeting, plans were discussed for the development of a convention center, exhibition center, meeting halls, and visitor parking. A detailed presentation on the proposed construction plan was also given.
Key officials present included Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) Akhil Arora, Additional Chief Secretary (CM Office) Shikhar Agarwal, Principal Secretary (Industries) Ajitabh Sharma, Principal Secretary (CM Office) Alok Gupta, along with senior RIICO officials and other concerned authorities.
