CM Shinde: “Yoga is Key to a Healthy and Wealthy State!”

Mumbai : Yoga is essential for a healthy body. If adopted by all, yoga can contribute to creating healthy citizens. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde emphasized that healthy citizens are the wealth of the state.

Chief Minister Shinde was speaking at an event where Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Sports Minister Sanjay Bansode, Additional Chief Secretary (Services) Nitin Gadre, Additional Chief Secretary Home Department Sujata Saunik, Assistant Director of the Yoga Institute Rishi Jaydev Yogendra, and other government officials were present.

Chief Minister Shinde noted that International Yoga Day is celebrated worldwide to promote and spread yoga. He highlighted that a yoga lifestyle fosters positivity and that everyone should practice yoga daily, as it connects the body and mind.

Also in attendance were Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Iqbal Singh Chahal, Additional Chief Secretary of the Public Works Department Manisha Mhaiskar, Additional Chief Secretary of the State Excise Milind Mhaiskar, Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department Rajesh Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department OP Gupta, Maharashtra State Financial Corporation Managing Director and Principal Secretary Manisha Verma, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Vikas Kharge, Environment Department Principal Secretary Pravin Darade, Medical Education Department Principal Secretary Dinesh Waghmare, Skill Development Department Secretary Ganesh Patil, and other senior officials.
