State to Make New Drone Policy – Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the importance of adhering to the rules established for higher education institutions. He instructed officials of colleges and universities to ensure necessary arrangements are made in the students’ interest. Highlighting Madhya Pradesh’s leadership in implementing the new education policy, Dr. Yadav announced the formulation of a drone policy for the state. He noted the growing employment opportunities in aviation, agriculture, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and pledged to enhance teaching arrangements accordingly. Additionally, he announced the inauguration of PM College of Excellence in all 55 districts of the state starting July 1. Dr. Yadav stressed the need for continuous focus on quality education and effective management, and assured full state support for necessary infrastructural development in higher education institutions. This detailed discussion took place during a meeting with senior officials from the Higher Education Department at the Mantralaya on Friday.

Courses will be useful for pilot training

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Colleges of Excellence are being established in Madhya Pradesh to enhance the state’s education system. He urged that these colleges should become model educational centers for other states. This requires active collaboration from the Higher Education Department, related departments, local administration, students, parents, and citizens. Dr. Yadav called for a strategy to incorporate drone use and training in higher education, industry, agriculture, and other relevant sectors. Recognizing the growing interest among youth in fields like aviation and artificial intelligence, he highlighted the establishment of the country’s first helicopter pilot training school in Khajuraho as a point of pride. The state government aims to provide degree and diploma courses through pilot training institutes and nearby universities with airstrips. This initiative will promote employment-oriented education and attract investment to the state.

PM College of Excellence to begin on July 1

A decision was taken to establish PM Colleges of Excellence in all the districts of the state this year. Under the National Education Policy, the state government has approved the establishment of one PM College of Excellence in every district. Approval has also been given for additional posts in the selected colleges to establish the Prime Minister’s College of Excellence in 55 districts of the state. Along with this, the necessary budget has also been made available. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Colleges of Excellence starting from July 1 will be the pride of the district. Connect the tehsils and citizens of the district with the College of Excellence. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Bharatiya Gyan Parampara Kendra will also open in every PM College of Excellence for which necessary arrangements will be made.

Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana, Additional Chief Secretary Chief Minister’s Office Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, and other concerned senior officers were present in the meeting.

Major instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

  • Motivate and encourage students for employment-oriented courses.
  • Other useful courses including agriculture will be started in Higher Education Department Excellence Colleges. This information should be provided to the students systematically.
  • The colleges and universities of the state should create such an image and environment that children from other states come to study here.
  • Outstanding academic work in colleges and universities will be given full encouragement.
  • Necessary infrastructure development work should be completed in colleges. New courses must be started. Courses related to tourism will also start.
  • Higher education centers of the state should be equipped with multi-faculty facilities.
  • New courses like B.Sc. are starting in the state from the academic session 2024-25. Information about agriculture courses, other professional courses, and other courses should be provided to the students.
  • Students should also be made aware of the arrangements made for aviation and other courses.
  • Transport arrangements should be made available to the students to go to the college.
