Water Resources Minister Prepares for CM’s Proposed Visit During Hanumangarh Tour — Inspects Lakhuvali Head, Ghaggar River
Jaipur : Water Resources Minister Shri Suresh Singh Rawat conducted a tour of Hanumangarh and Sri Ganganagar districts on Monday. While reviewing the state of water resources in both districts, he carried out a detailed inspection of the Lakhuvali Head, Ghaggar River, and the diversion canal, issuing necessary directives to officials. He emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the Rajasthan government is committed to conserving water resources and resolving serious issues such as waterlogging (sem). The minister also reviewed the preparations for the Chief Minister’s proposed visit on April 8.
Accompanying the minister were Food and Civil Supplies Minister and District In-charge Minister Shri Sumit Godara, MLA Shri Ganesh Raj Bansal, District Collector Shri Kana Ram, Superintendent of Police Shri Arshad Ali, and several other officials and public representatives.
Minister Rawat stated that the government, under the leadership of CM Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, is working with commitment toward the overall development of the state. He assured that strong efforts are being made to resolve the issue of waterlogging within a set timeframe. Letters have also been sent to the Punjab and central governments to stop the flow of polluted water into canals, and a solution is expected soon. He thanked the Chief Minister for strengthening the irrigation system through the state budget.
Minister Rawat Also Visits Shivpur Head
After his Hanumangarh visit, Minister Rawat proceeded to Sri Ganganagar, where he inspected the Shivpur Head in the afternoon and reviewed the preparations for the CM’s proposed programs scheduled for April 8 and 9, giving specific directions to the officials.
Following his inspection of the Shivpur Head event site, Minister Rawat was briefed on the Ganganagar Canal System. He directed officials to ensure the supply of canal water to farmers in accordance with the Chief Minister’s vision, emphasizing CM Sharma’s deep concern for farmers’ welfare and efforts to maximize canal water availability for them.
Chief Engineer and Additional Secretary (West) Shri Amarjeet Singh explained how the Shivpur Head is being developed as a tourist site as per the budget announcement. Also present on the occasion were Sadulshahar MLA Shri Gurveer Singh Barar, Zila Parishad CEO Shri Girdhar, SE Shri Dheeraj Chawla, and Joint Director of Agriculture Dr. Satish Sharma. Minister Rawat later visited the Hindumalkot border to observe the border region.
