Review Meeting Held at Tourism Bhawan — Grand-Scale Development at Shri Khatu Shyam Ji, a Center of Faith: Deputy CM Diya Kumari

Jaipur : A review meeting was held at Tourism Bhawan on Monday under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari and in the presence of Tourism Secretary Ravi Jain.

Diya Kumari directed officials to commence development works at the Shri Khatu Shyam Ji Temple in Sikar under the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme at the earliest. She instructed that a dedicated meeting on this matter should be conducted at Shri Khatu Shyam Ji itself. Emphasizing the religious importance of the site, she stated that the development should be carried out on a grand scale. She highlighted that the central government has approved ₹87 crore under the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme for developing the Shri Khatu Shyam Ji Temple, which is a significant step toward promoting religious tourism in the state. She confirmed that she would chair the related meeting at the temple site.

The Deputy CM also instructed that a meeting be held to initiate the conservation of Shekhawati havelis and ordered high-quality restoration work at Albert Hall as per the approved plan.

War Museum at the Border to Boost Tourism

Diya Kumari emphasized that the proposed War Museum near the border should be developed with utmost sensitivity. She instructed that all aspects must be carefully considered in the planning and execution. She expressed confidence that the War Museum would significantly promote tourism in the state’s border areas.

During the review, the Deputy Chief Minister discussed several key areas of the tourism department, including the restoration of Albert Hall, the Light and Sound Show, RTDC operations, tourism and film policies, stepwell restorations, development in Jaipur’s Walled City, project tenders, progress at Pushkar and Khatu Shyam Ji, Malaseri Dungri, Maharana Pratap Circuit, cleanliness at tourist sites, museum restorations, Desert Tourism, Virtual Reality at Jantar Mantar, preservation of Shekhawati havelis, preparations for the Great Indian Travel Bazaar, ongoing surveys, the War Museum, development at Jamway Mata Temple, ropeway projects, and more. She issued necessary directives across all these areas.
