Chandrababu Naidu to Lay Foundation for His Residence in Amaravati Tomorrow
Hyderabad : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is set to lay the foundation stone for his personal residence in Amaravati on April 9, marking a symbolic and emotional moment for many in the region. The ceremony, which will be held near the Velagapudi Secretariat along the E9 highway, will take place in the presence of Naidu’s family, close associates, and supporters.
After declaring Amaravati as the capital in 2014, Naidu governed the state from this region but did not prioritize building his own residence. His focus remained on developing infrastructure and planning the grand vision for the capital. Now, after returning to power in 2024, Naidu appears determined to not only resume the long-delayed construction of Amaravati but also cement his personal commitment to the project by establishing his home in the capital.
His decision to build a house in Amaravati has sparked positive sentiment among the region’s residents, especially the farmers who gave up their lands for the capital’s development. Many of them faced uncertainty and hardship during the previous administration, but Naidu’s move is being seen as a gesture of reassurance and renewed hope.
Chandrababu has always emphasized public participation in the making of Amaravati and has stood firmly with capital region farmers during challenging times. His active involvement in rebuilding Amaravati, coupled with the flow of central funds, ongoing construction of institutions, and his own residential plans, has breathed new life into the region’s prospects.
Residents are now optimistic that this move will accelerate growth and attract further investments, adding charm and credibility to Amaravati’s status as the capital city.
