Review Meeting on Budget Announcements and Night Halts: Ensure Timely Implementation of Budget Announcements – Panchayati Raj Minister

Panchayati Raj Minister Shri Madan Dilawar has directed officials to ensure the timely and scheduled execution of departmental budget announcements for the financial years 2024–25 and 2025–26. Expressing concern over the delay in implementing budget promises, he instructed officials to expedite the completion of announced projects.

Shri Dilawar was presiding over a review meeting held at the Panchayati Raj Bhawan auditorium on Wednesday, which focused on the pending cases and implementation of works announced in the budgets of 2024–25 and 2025–26, as well as the night halts of officials.

He instructed officers to set clear deadlines for the completion of tasks related to the implementation of budget announcements and begin work accordingly. He expressed satisfaction with the progress of the Swamitva Yojana.

He further directed officials to promptly execute the pending budget announcements made by Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma for the financial year 2024–25.

The Minister also reviewed in detail the field visits and night halts conducted by officials. He instructed strict action against those responsible if unhygienic conditions were found in village panchayats during inspections.

Prior to the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Watershed Development and Soil Conservation Department and the Foundation for Ecological Security (FES) regarding the establishment of a Vegetation Seed Bank.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Jogaram, Principal Secretary and Commissioner of Panchayati Raj.

Also present on the occasion were Mr. Muhammad Junaid, Director of Watershed Development and Soil Conservation, Ms. Saloni Khemka, Director of Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural), and other departmental officers.
