State Government’s Financial Literacy Initiative Gets a Boost – MoU Signed Between PFMTI and CIEL to Promote Financial Literacy

Jaipur : An MoU was signed on Saturday between the Public Financial Management and Training Institute (PFMTI), established by the state government’s finance department, and the Center for Investment Education and Learning Private Limited (CIEL). The MoU was signed in the presence of Shri Debashish Priti, Principal Secretary of Finance (Budget). Also present were Shri Naresh Kumar Thakral, CEO of PFMTI, Mr. Navneet Munot, MD and CEO of HDFC Asset Management Fund, representatives from CIEL, and other associated organizations.

Shri Debashish Priti stated that the aim of the agreement is to enhance financial literacy and awareness among state government officials and employees in subjects such as financial discipline, investment education, taxation, and auditing. Through PFMTI, the government has been providing continuous training on financial management topics to its officials. This collaboration with CIEL will further enhance the quality and modernity of the training programs.

Shri Priti added that under the agreement, PFMTI will designate officials and employees for training, and programs will be held at various training centers. CIEL’s digital platform will be used for virtual training programs. CIEL will develop financial literacy programs tailored to the state’s needs, in compliance with SEBI’s (Securities and Exchange Board of India) regulations and AMFI (Association of Mutual Funds in India) guidelines.

This initiative is a significant step taken by the state government to promote transparency, efficiency, and comprehensive financial awareness in financial administration, which will further strengthen Rajasthan’s economic management system.
