Hathras Accident: CM Yogi expresses grief, orders thorough investigation.
CM directs financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 each to the injured
Lucknow : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over the accident, which took place in Hathras district on Tuesday and extended his condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased.
He also instructed that the injured be promptly taken to the hospital and provided with proper medical care, wishing for their swift recovery.
In addition, the Chief Minister has announced financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh for each family of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for each injured individual.
CM Yogi is closely monitoring the situation and receiving constant updates. He has dispatched two ministers, the Chief Secretary, and the DGP to the site of the mishap.
Additionally, he has ordered the formation of a team led by the ADG, Agra, and the Commissioner, Aligarh, to investigate the causes of the accident, with a report to be submitted within 24 hours.
Furthermore, the government is preparing for significant actions, including filing an FIR against the event organizers.
CM Yogi Adityanath wrote on X, “The loss of lives in the tragic accident in Hathras district is deeply saddening and heart-wrenching. My condolences are with the bereaved families. I have instructed officials to conduct relief and rescue operations swiftly and ensure proper treatment of the injured. Hon’ble Ministers Shri Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary and Shri Sandeep Singh from the Uttar Pradesh government have already left for the incident site, and I have directed the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police of the state to also reach there.
A team led by ADG Agra and Commissioner Aligarh has been formed, with instructions to investigate the causes of the accident.
“I pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant the departed souls a place at his feet and wish a speedy recovery to the injured”, CM wrote.
*More devotees gathered at the satsang than permitted*
In Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras district on Tuesday, a crowd of thousands of devotees gathered for the program of Bhole Baba, renowned as Narayan Sakar Vishwa Hari. The number of attendees exceeded the administration’s permitted limit at the venue, leading to a stampede during Bhole Baba’s satsang.
Chief Secretary Manoj Singh and DGP Prashant Kumar have been dispatched to the scene. The injured have been transferred to Etah for medical treatment. The incident occurred near Phulrai village on GT Road in the Sikandrarao Kotwali area.
