All-Faith Harmony Meet Held at Raj Bhavan under Governor’s Chairmanship

CM Sharma Urges Vigilance Against Misinformation and Commends Border Preparedness; Governor Praises India’s Restrained Response as a Cultural Ethos of Unity

Jaipur – Rajasthan Governor Shri Hari Babu Bagde emphasized that communal harmony is an integral part of Indian culture. Speaking at an All-Faith Harmony Meeting held at the Raj Bhavan on Saturday, he noted that the nation is passing through a sensitive time and praised the Indian Army for its restrained and defensive operations, carried out without targeting civilian areas. He appealed to followers of all religions to maintain harmony and work together for national unity and integrity.

Governor Bagde said the current situation demands mutual coordination, especially as a significant part of Rajasthan shares a border with Pakistan. He discussed the activities in the border districts of Jaisalmer, Phalodi, Barmer, Bikaner, and Sri Ganganagar, stressing the importance of alertness and cooperation at all levels. He lauded the state government for taking timely and sensitive measures to ensure civilian safety and for executing comprehensive rescue arrangements. The Governor also called for action rooted in the spirit of “Nation First” while upholding India’s development model based on interfaith harmony.

Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma reiterated the government’s proactive stance across all fronts. He urged citizens to be cautious of elements disrupting communal harmony and emphasized the need to tackle the spread of fake news on social media. The CM stressed the importance of preserving national unity and social cohesion during these challenging times.

CM Sharma stated that all vacant posts in border regions have been promptly filled. Provisions for electricity, drinking water, healthcare services, blood banks, ambulances, and other essentials have been effectively arranged. He appealed to citizens to schedule weddings during the day in light of blackout orders in border areas and reminded them of the ban on drone usage during such events.

The Chief Minister announced a relief package of ₹5 crore for border districts and ₹2.5 crore each for nearby districts. Additional personnel from RAC, Home Guards, and police have been deployed in sensitive areas. He expressed satisfaction that residents near the border are remaining vigilant through the night, showing great patriotic spirit. He also praised the police and administration for their dedicated response.

Representatives of various faiths attending the meeting echoed the Governor’s sentiments and pledged their full cooperation during this sensitive time. Mahant Kailash Sharma of the Moti Dungri Ganesh Temple and the Jain community each pledged ₹11 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Also present were Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Anand Kumar, Personnel Secretary Dr. Krishnakant Pathak, DGP U.R. Sahu, Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph, District Collector Jitendra Kumar Soni, and several senior officials.
