A Golden Opportunity for Farmers and Unemployed Youth: Oil Extraction Machines to Empower Self-Reliance in Chhattisgarh
Raipur : Chhattisgarh Oil Extraction Development Board Chairman Shri Jitendra Sahu visited the Sahu Samaj office at Krishnadham campus in Raipur today to inspect an oil extraction (Telghani) machine. During his visit, he thoroughly examined the technical operations of the machine, the oilseed processing method, and the marketing techniques involved. After the inspection, Shri Sahu described the initiative as an innovative employment opportunity for both farmers and unemployed youth.
Shri Sahu emphasized that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chhattisgarh Oil Extraction Development Board is adopting innovative approaches to strengthen the rural economy. This initiative, he said, will serve as a powerful means of linking farmers and youth to the vision of an “Atmanirbhar Bharat” (self-reliant India). Not only will it promote indigenous production, but it will also set a notable example in the optimal utilization of local resources. In the coming years, this initiative is expected to steer Chhattisgarh toward self-reliance and prosperity.
He further stated that the government’s priority is to encourage farmers toward oilseed cultivation and ensure they receive maximum benefits from state schemes. The government aims not only to assist in oilseed production but also to connect farmers with modern oil extraction and marketing techniques to significantly boost their income.
Highlighting the role of Telghani machines in employment generation, Shri Sahu said that their installation will provide sustainable livelihoods to unemployed youth. To ensure this, the government will offer departmental training, enabling young individuals to gain expertise, start their own ventures, and potentially generate employment for others.
The event was attended by many distinguished members of the Sahu community, including Shri Satyaprakash Sahu of the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Sahu Sangh, Shri Avnendra Sahu from Dhamtari, Shri Rajesh Sahu from Kondagaon, Shri Bhagwat Sahu from Rajnandgaon, Shri Narayan Sahu from Gariaband, Shri Puhup Ram Sahu from Mungeli, Shri Sunil Sahu from Balodabazar, Shri Nandlal Sahu from Durg, and Shri Narayan Lal Sahu from Raipur district.
