Jaipur : On Tuesday, Shri Vasudev Devnani, Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, received an invitation at the Vidhan Sabha from Shri Apoorva Joshi on behalf of the Brahmaleen Acharya Pandit Shri Natwarlal Joshi Memorial Committee. The invitation was for the upcoming collective Upanayana Yajñopavīt (sacred thread) ceremony and training workshop. Shri Joshi also presented a copy of the Shekhawati Sanmarg, a fortnightly newspaper published from Laxmangarh.
Speaker Shri Devnani extended his best wishes for the event and remarked that in the Indian knowledge tradition, the Upanayana Sanskar is one of the most important aspects of the Guru-Shishya (teacher-disciple) tradition. He noted that the late Acharya Shri Natwarlal Joshi, a distinguished scholar of the Sanatan tradition, was one of India’s prominent figures, known for keeping alive various Vedic cultural initiatives in the Shekhawati region for the past eight decades.
Under the joint aegis of the Central Sanskrit University (New Delhi), functioning under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and the Brahmaleen Acharya Pandit Shri Natwarlal Joshi Memorial Foundation, a special event is scheduled. Shri Vasudev Devnani has been requested to deliver the keynote address on May 28, focusing on the Upanayana Sanskar within the Guru-Shishya tradition in Indian culture, and to inaugurate the training workshop.
