“Su-shasan Tihar is a Mission to Resolve Public Issues”: CM Vishnu Deo Sai
Grand Announcements Worth ₹213 Crores Made During Conclusion Event in Dhamtari
Raipur : Despite light showers, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai reached the Samadhan Shivir (resolution camp) in Dhamtari, where he was warmly welcomed with garlands of lotus flowers. At the event, he announced development projects worth ₹213 crores in response to public demands, including a high-tech bus stand, a modern auditorium, and the construction of three major roads.
The occasion marked the grand conclusion of the 54-day long ‘Su-shasan Tihar’ (Good Governance Festival), which was celebrated across the state to address public grievances. Held at the old Agricultural Market Yard in Dhamtari, the camp witnessed the distribution of welfare materials to beneficiaries and inspection of government stalls by the Chief Minister. He interacted directly with citizens and instructed officials to ensure timely resolution of complaints, emphasizing that governance should be accountable and responsive.
During his address, CM Sai underlined that Su-shasan means “good governance” and described the initiative as a festival dedicated to resolving people’s problems. Launched on April 8, it involved three stages: collecting applications from rural areas, processing them, and organizing camps in villages to inform citizens about resolutions. Over 4 million applications were received statewide, and 95% have already been addressed, showcasing the administration’s effectiveness.
Key Announcements in Dhamtari:
- ₹18 crores for a high-tech bus stand
- ₹10.5 crores for a state-of-the-art auditorium
- ₹69 crores for a 5-km four-lane road from Sihawa Chowk to Koliyari
- ₹56 crores for a four-lane road from Ratnabandha to Mujgahan
- ₹60 crores for renewal and strengthening of the Dhamtari-Nagari main road
CM Sai said the Su-shasan campaign exemplifies Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guarantee of delivering on promises. He also noted that 3 lakh homes were inaugurated recently by PM Modi in Bilaspur, and 51,000 homes by Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Ambikapur.
The CM announced 15,000 homes for surrendered Maoists and affected families in Naxal-hit regions, and 32,000 additional homes for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups like the Korwa, Pahadi Korwa, and Abujhmadia.
Highlighting women’s welfare, CM Sai said over 70 lakh women have benefited from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana.
