Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami Directs Officials to Ensure Pothole-Free Roads Across the State
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, in a high-level meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Saturday, instructed officials to make all roads in the state pothole-free at the earliest, ensuring better traffic facilities for the general public.
During the meeting, it was reported that 52% of patchwork on roads has been completed. The Chief Minister emphasized that the remaining work should be completed at an accelerated pace. He directed that all district in-charge secretaries should regularly visit their respective districts, interact with the public, and expedite the implementation of various government development and welfare schemes.
The Chief Minister also instructed that construction and reconstruction work in disaster-affected areas be prioritized. He stressed the need for quick reconstruction of essential infrastructure in affected areas to provide relief to local communities.
Shri Dhami further highlighted the importance of speeding up the repair of damaged bridges and the construction of new bridges. He instructed officials to ensure quality and transparency in all works.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government is committed to providing safe, convenient, and improved basic amenities to the public, and all departments must work in coordination and with vigilance to achieve this goal.
Present on the occasion were Principal Secretary Shri R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Shri Shailesh Bagoli, Secretary Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Additional Secretary Shri Vineet Kumar, and other officials from the Public Works Department.
