2.81 Lakh Students Register for TNEA in 27 Days
2,81,266 students have registered for engineering admissions through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) within 27 days – Hon’ble Minister for Higher Education, Mr. K. Ponmudi
The registration process for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) began on 07.05.2025. As of today, a total of 2,81,266 students have applied, announced the Hon’ble Minister for Higher Education, Mr. K. Ponmudi.
Providing further details, the Hon’ble Minister stated:
The online registration for engineering admissions in Tamil Nadu started on 07.05.2025. As of 6 PM on 02.06.2025, a total of 2,81,266 students have applied. This includes 1,20,807 male students and 1,00,579 female students, making a combined total of 2,21,386 applicants who have paid the registration fee.
This year, 12 new branches focusing on emerging technologies and modern technical skills have been introduced in the 11 government engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. Consequently, 720 additional seats have been created in these colleges. Out of these, 54 additional seats have been allocated for students from government schools under the 7.5% reservation.
As the registration process continues until 06.06.2025, students can visit the official TNEA website at www.tneaonline.org to register their applications.
Furthermore, to assist students with any clarifications, 110 TNEA Facilitation Centres (TFCs) have been set up across Tamil Nadu. Students may contact these centres for help. Additionally, support is available through the toll-free helpline number 1800-425-0110, or via email at tneacare@gmail.com for any further queries or assistance.
