Angiography Facility Launched at RUHS Hospital; Major Relief for Cardiac Patients
Jaipur : Under the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma and the directives of Health Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Khimsar, continuous expansion of super-specialty services is underway at RUHS Hospital. In this effort, the hospital has begun offering angiography services starting Monday, with two patients undergoing the procedure on the first day.
Medical Education Secretary Shri Ambrish Kumar explained that, with a view to reducing the patient load at Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital and providing state residents access to a world-class medical institution equipped with modern facilities, RUHS Hospital has been steadily expanding and strengthening its medical services. As part of this expansion, angiography is now available on-site. On Monday, physicians performed two coronary angiograms in the cath lab established at the State Cancer Institute within RUHS Hospital.
Shri Kumar stated that the availability of angiography at RUHS will bring significant relief to cardiac patients visiting the facility. “Now, they will no longer need to go to SMS Hospital for this test. In emergency situations, patients can receive immediate care. This will benefit not only people from the areas surrounding RUHS but also patients traveling from across the state for cardiac treatment. Wait times for angiography will be reduced, and the patient load at SMS Hospital will decrease,” he said.
RUHS Superintendent Dr. Mahesh Mangal reported that a 75-year-old female patient and a 44-year-old male patient, both suffering from heart disease, had been admitted. Cardiologists recommended angiography, which was performed at the State Cancer Institute’s cath lab within RUHS Hospital under the Chief Minister’s Ayushman Arogya Yojana scheme.
