There will be no shortage of funds for the development of cities: Shri Arun Sao.

Raipur : Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Arun Saw today laid the foundation stone and performed Bhoomi Pujan for 94 development works worth Rs 14 crore 73 lakh for the development of wards included in the Municipal Corporation area under Beltara Assembly constituency. MLA Shri Sushant Shukla presided over the function organized at the District Sports Complex of Bilaspur. These development works have been approved under the 15th Finance Commission, Infrastructure Head and Body Head due to the initiative of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Saw and special efforts of MLA Shri Shukla. Most of the approved works are related to CC road, drain construction and street lights. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Saw and MLA Shri Shukla also planted neem saplings in the sports complex under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. Deputy Chief Minister

Shri Arun Saw, the chief guest of the Bhoomi Pujan program, said that for the first time in the last five years, a lump sum amount of about 15 crores has been received for development works. Our government is committed to the development of urban areas. There will be no shortage of funds for the development of cities. All development works will be done in accordance with public sentiment. He said that he had recently met Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Mr Manohar Lal Khattar regarding the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in urban areas. We are likely to get more allotments soon. This will enable every needy and eligible person to get a concrete roof to live in. He called upon everyone to plant trees under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. He also asked them to save it till it grows. While

presiding over the program, MLA Mr Sushant Shukla said that Deputy Chief Minister Mr Arun Saw is aware of the problems of the city. Gradually all the problems will be solved. This will definitely change the condition and direction of the city. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr Amit Kumar presented the welcome speech and report in the program. On this occasion, Leader of Opposition in Bilaspur Municipal Corporation Mr Rajesh Singh, CEO of District Panchayat Mr Ramprasad Chauhan and In-charge DFO Mr Abhinav Kumar, councilors of various wards, public representatives and dignitaries were present in large numbers.
