Udhayanidhi Stalin Felicitates Winners of Tamil Nadu Cycling League 2025

Hon’ble Tamil Nadu Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development, Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin, today met and congratulated the cycling teams who secured the top three positions in the Tamil Nadu Cycling League Tournament, held in Ekkattuthangal, Chennai, by presenting them with a trophy in appreciation of their achievement.

The Tamil Nadu Cycling Association, with the support of the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority, organized the Tamil Nadu Cycling League Tournament (Season 3) on 7th and 8th June 2025 at the 3.75 km Island Grounds Formula 4 Car Track.

A total of 8 teams comprising 15 cyclists who qualified through the selection rounds participated in the event.

  • On 7.6.2025, the Team Time Trial was conducted over 4 laps.
  • On 8.6.2025, the Crit Race was held over 8 laps at the Island Grounds Formula 4 Car Track.

In these competitions:

  • The RANCYCERS team emerged as the overall champion, securing 64 points.
  • The Rockfort Riders team from Trichy came second with 54 points.
  • The Nam Chennai Sprinters team from Chennai took third place with 38 points.

Cyclist Kippor was awarded the Best Rider of the Tournament.

The winning teams met Hon’ble Minister Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin and presented the championship trophy. The Minister personally congratulated the cyclists for their victory and appreciated their achievements in national and international competitions.

  • Mr. Atulya Misra, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Youth Welfare and Sports Development,
  • Mr. S. Bhuvaneshwaran, IAS, Secretary, Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu,
  • Officials of the Tamil Nadu Cycling Association,
  • Participating cyclists and supporters.
