Taekwondo players of Ambikapur met CM’s wife Smt. Kaushalya Sai
Raipur : Players’ trainer Constable Radheshyam Manikpuri told that the police department has been providing free training of Taekwondo to the youth since 2017. He told that 42 players from Ambikapur district participated in the state level Taekwondo competition held in Raigarh from 5 to 7 July. During this, the players have succeeded in winning 5 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals. Player Mansi Singh told Mrs. Kaushalya Sai that better arrangements have been made by the police department to give them training in Taekwondo. They are also getting benefits from this. This is the reason why she has been successful in getting the gold medal in the state level competition. Player Aarushi Kashyap also shared things related to Taekwondo training and competition with Mrs. Kaushalya Sai.
Kaushalya Sai, wife of CM Shri Sai, praised the initiative taken by the Ambikapur Police Department for the young players. She said that this is an excellent step taken by the police administration to use the energy and enthusiasm of the youth in the right direction. She also praised the performance of the players and said that sports are essential for physical and mental health. Sports activities strengthen our social bond even more. Assuring to provide all possible help from the government for better training to the players selected for the Nationals, she said that the government led by Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai is working on priority to promote sports in the state. She informed that the construction of an international level hockey ground in Jashpur and a sports academy in Kunkuri has been announced. The government’s goal is to take the talented players of the state to the Olympics. Mrs. Kaushalya Sai honored the medal winning players by presenting them with medals.
