Ceramic Hub to Be Developed in Bikaner; New Industrial Areas Also to Be Promoted – Industries and Commerce Minister

Jaipur : Industries and Commerce Minister Shri Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has emphasized that a fully developed Ceramic Hub should be established in Bikaner. He noted that the region already has the raw materials essential for the ceramic industry. He also directed gas companies to supply gas directly to the industrial area via pipelines. Rathore further stated that new industrial zones should be identified and developed based on feasibility surveys.

While reviewing the work of various departments, including the Industries Department, at the Bikaner Circuit House on Wednesday, Rathore asserted that RIICO (Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation) has no shortage of funds. “Send the proposals, and the required funds will be provided. Industry funds should be invested in industries,” he said. He added that development work related to industry, tourism, and public welfare in Bikaner—which had been pending for years—will now be carried out.

Addressing the sewage issue in the Karni Industrial Area, Rathore instructed that a complete assessment be prepared for the construction of a Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP). He also called for Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with industries in the city—especially in the woolen, carpet, and solar sectors—for skill development initiatives.

The Minister urged all departments to work in coordination. He stated that whenever roads are dug up, related works like sewage and other departmental tasks should be completed simultaneously, so the roads need not be dug again for the next ten years. He also instructed that damaged roads be repaired before the monsoon, and water-logged areas be filled with debris. Regarding heritage walks, he advised preparing a phase-wise plan and engaging the local community in its implementation.

The meeting was attended by District Collector Mrs. Namrata Vrishni and officials from various departments.
