Soil and Water Conservation Minister Sanjay Rathod Visits Ongoing Hunger Strike in Mozari

Amravati : Maharashtra’s Minister for Soil and Water Conservation, Sanjay Rathod, visited Mozari to meet Bacchu Kadu, who is currently on a hunger strike. The minister urged Kadu to call off the protest, assuring him that the government is positively considering his demands.

Minister Rathod personally met Bacchu Kadu at the protest site today and conveyed that the issues raised have been presented to the government. Meetings regarding the demands have already been held, and the matter has been brought to the attention of both the state assembly and the government. The issues will also be raised in the upcoming cabinet meeting, he said.

Rathod assured that each demand would be discussed in detail and followed up on, and that the government would take positive action on issues concerning farmers, agricultural laborers, and persons with disabilities. Given that this is the season for land preparation and sowing, and also considering Kadu’s health condition, Rathod appealed to him to withdraw the hunger strike.

Earlier in the day, Minister Rathod held discussions with local administration officials at the rest house in Tivsa, and later visited the Samadhi (memorial) of Saint Tukdoji Maharaj at Gurukunj Mozari.
