Krishnadev Gosavi Starts Mobile Shop with RSETI Training and Mudra Scheme Support
Government schemes are helping many individuals transform their lives, and Krishnadev Gosavi from Dudhebavi village in Kavathe Mahankal taluka is one such example. After receiving entrepreneurial training from the Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) and availing financial support under the Mudra Scheme, he successfully launched his own mobile shop.
Krishnadev Gosavi lives in Dudhebavi village with his parents, wife, and two children. His family’s main source of income was farming, which was insufficient to support all six members. To supplement the income, he took up a private job in billing within the construction sector. However, determined to improve his financial situation, he decided to start his own business.
He enrolled in RSETI Sangli, where he received free training in cellphone repair and service entrepreneurship. Speaking about the experience, Gosavi said, “During the 30-day training at RSETI, we were taught all the essential skills required for mobile repair and service. We also received guidance on the machinery needed to start a business.” Trainers Pradeep Salunkhe and Pravin Patil provided valuable lessons on banking, financial planning, overcoming challenges, and communication skills. During the training, Gosavi also learned about the Mudra Loan scheme.
Following his training, Gosavi sought funding for his business. With the help of Mahesh Patil, Director of RSETI, he applied for a loan under the Mudra Scheme and was sanctioned ₹1 lakh. He invested an additional ₹80,000 from his own savings and established a mobile shop in Bahirehwar, Karveer taluka, Kolhapur district, where he had previously worked in construction and identified a stable market.
Gosavi expressed satisfaction, stating that his business now yields a monthly income of ₹15,000, significantly improving his financial situation. He encouraged rural youth to take similar steps, saying, “Training at RSETI can empower young people from rural areas to stand on their own feet and build a better future.”
