CM Devendra Fadnavis Invited for Ashadhi Ekadashi Mahapuja of Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Temple Committee Delegation Pays Courtesy Visit

Mumbai : Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has been formally invited to perform the official Ashadhi Ekadashi Mahapuja of Lord Vitthal and Goddess Rukmini on behalf of the Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Temple Committee.

This year, the Ashadhi Ekadashi falls on Sunday, July 6, 2025, and the Mahapuja will be held at 2:20 AM, to be performed by CM Fadnavis and his wife, along with the honorary Warkaris (devotees).

To extend the invitation, a delegation led by Temple Committee Co-Chairman Gahininath Maharaj Ausekar paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister at his official residence, Varsha Bungalow, in Mumbai.

During the visit, the CM was honored on behalf of the Temple Committee with traditional gifts including a Veena, Warkari scarf, idol of Lord Vitthal, ceremonial stole, and chipli (castanets).

The delegation included committee members Shakuntala Nadgire, Sambhaji Shinde, H.B.P. Dnyaneshwar Deshmukh Jalgaonkar, Adv. Madhavi Nigade, Atulshastri Bhagare Guruji, H.B.P. Prakash Javanjal, H.B.P. Shivajirao More, and Executive Officer Rajendra Shelke.

The delegation also briefed the Chief Minister on the preparations for the Ashadhi pilgrimage, ongoing preservation and conservation efforts at the Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Temple, the implementation of the token system to ensure faster and easier darshan, and other administrative arrangements made by the temple committee.
