An Initiative Propelling Gujarat’s Vision to Excel as a Hub for Innovation and Investment in the Digital Economy.

Gandhinagar 09 July 2024: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel presided over the signing of a key partnership agreement on Artificial Intelligence Readiness between the State Department of Science and Technology and Intel Corporation, in Gandhinagar. This collaboration with Intel Corporation will accelerate Gujarat’s vision to become a hub for innovation and investment in the digital economy. The state government has teamed up with Intel to boost digital readiness by providing access to new emerging technologies for students, professionals, and citizens through this digital readiness program on Intel’s platform.

The launch of this initiative highlights the Gujarat government’s commitment to promoting technological innovation and economic development. This partnership is a crucial step towards establishing Gujarat as a leader in artificial intelligence and digital technology. Principal Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology, Smt. Mona Khandhar described this initiative as vital for promoting a skilled workforce and technological advancement in the state through this partnership. The program aims to empower students, professionals, citizens, and digital leaders by equipping them with the skills, mindsets, and tools required to excel in an AI-driven world.

The initiative will be implemented in partnership with various stakeholders, including regional science centers, academic institutions, and government bodies.

Chief Secretary Shri Rajkumar, MD of Gift City Shri Tapan Ray, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Pankaj Joshi, Intel Corporation’s Vice President and Head of AI, San Fransisco Bay area Shri Anil Nanduri, as well as Senior Director of International Government Affairs (Asia Pacific and Japan) Smt. Shweta Khurana remained present.
