Orange Alert Issued for Raigad and Ratnagiri Districts; High Waves Warning Along Konkan Coast

Mumbai : An orange alert has been issued for Raigad and Ratnagiri districts for the next 24 hours. The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) has warned of high waves ranging from 4 to 4.2 meters along the Konkan coastline until 8:30 PM on June 25, 2025. Small boats have been advised not to venture into the sea, the State Emergency Operations Centre has informed.

In the past 24 hours (till the morning of June 24, 2025), Palghar district received 82.2 mm of rainfall. Other significant rainfall figures include Raigad (82.2 mm), Mumbai City (61.2 mm), Thane (59.3 mm), and Ratnagiri (50.6 mm).

In Mumbai City, one person was injured due to the collapse of a house. In Mumbai Suburban district, five people were injured in two incidents—one involving the collapse of a house and another involving a falling tree branch.

Flood alert rivers: The Jagbudi River in Ratnagiri district and the Kundalika River in Raigad district have reached warning levels. Citizens in these areas have been advised to remain alert.

In Palghar district, rising water levels in the Surya River led to a construction boat getting stuck near the Maswan bridge. The boat was brought ashore with assistance from the NDRF team. Additionally, due to heavy rainfall, the Deharje–Sheel Road and Kuranje–Kanchad Road have been closed for traffic after the bridges were submerged.

In Pune district, a landslide occurred in Pasarwadi (Malin), Ambegaon taluka after cracks developed in the ground. No casualties were reported. The Public Works Department has begun clearing the debris, and the road has been reopened for traffic, the State Emergency Operations Centre confirmed.
