State Minister Releases Draft of Sikar Master Plan 2041, Inaugurates Exhibition; Public Objections Invited for One Month
Path Cleared for Planned Urban Development in Sikar
Jaipur : On Wednesday, Minister of Urban Development and Autonomous Governance Shri Jhabar Singh Khara released the draft of the Sikar Master Plan 2041 at the Municipal Council Auditorium in Sikar. He also inaugurated an exhibition based on the master plan, which will remain open to the public for one month. Citizens can review the plan and submit objections or suggestions in the public interest during this period.
While addressing the event, Minister Khara emphasized that public objections and suggestions regarding the Master Plan 2041 are being invited for the next month. All objections will be addressed keeping public welfare in mind. He made it clear that suggestions made for the benefit of society will be thoroughly considered, while those motivated by personal interests will not be entertained. The Minister urged residents to actively participate and offer constructive suggestions to ensure inclusive and beneficial urban development.
On this occasion, Minister Khara also distributed cheques of ₹10,000 each to beneficiaries—Laxmi, Saroj, Jaman, Chunkli, and Putli—under the Chief Minister’s Swanidhi Scheme. He inaugurated both the physical exhibition of the Master Plan and the display of its maps.
In his address, the Minister described the master plan as a visionary step towards providing Sikar’s residents with organized urban amenities. He said that the plan has been in development for a long time and is now being presented for public engagement. Although there was an initial goal to publish the plan in 2024, legal reasons delayed its release. After extensive consultation with all stakeholders, the final draft is now published in public view.
Minister Khara underlined that unplanned development leads to a range of problems—both direct and indirect—and affects everyone. He called on citizens to rise above personal interests and adopt a long-term perspective for sustainable development. He warned that failure to act now could result in future chaos and natural imbalances.
He also informed that the draft Master Plan 2041 includes 50 villages. Public feedback will be collected over the next month, and after addressing valid concerns, the plan will be implemented on the ground.
Dhod MLA Shri Govardhan Verma, present at the event, stated that Sikar is rapidly progressing, and infrastructure and resources must be upgraded accordingly to match the pace of development.
Sikar District Collector Shri Mukul Sharma, who presided over the event, clarified that there have been no changes from the Master Plan 2021 regarding sector designations, road widths, green areas, industrial zones, bus stands, parks, schools, or colleges. The planned width of the ring road remains 200 feet.
The event witnessed participation from public representatives, government officials, and a large number of local residents.
