Yogi Government’s Vision Gets a Boost: New Furniture to Reach 384 Schools in Mainpuri

PowerGrid and Mainpuri District Administration Sign ₹5 Crore MoU
Over 33,000 Students to Benefit from Enhanced Learning Environment
Major CSR Initiative in Education; Project Completion Targeted by 2027

Mainpuri : Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh continues to make consistent strides in strengthening educational infrastructure. In line with this vision, a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Wednesday between Power Grid Corporation of India Limited and the District Administration of Mainpuri. As part of the agreement, quality furniture will be supplied to 384 government primary schools in the district.

Project to Be Completed by March 31, 2027
This initiative is part of PowerGrid’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and carries an estimated cost of ₹5 crore. The implementation will be carried out through a designated executing agency, with a completion target of March 31, 2027.

Enhancing the Quality of Education
The much-awaited project will benefit 33,318 students by providing a dignified, comfortable environment for sitting, reading, and learning. The initiative aims not only to improve the quality of education but also to increase student engagement and connection with schools.

₹10 Crore Worth of CSR Projects Completed in Last 5 Years
In the past five years, PowerGrid Northern Region-III has successfully completed CSR projects worth around ₹10 crore in the education sector. Additionally, projects worth ₹25 crore are currently under progress.

Present on the occasion were Yugesh Kumar Dixit, Executive Director of PowerGrid (Northern Region-III), Senior General Manager Prem Prakash Rai, and other officials. Representing the district administration were District Magistrate Anjani Kumar Singh, Chief Development Officer Neha Bandhu, SDM Ghiror Prasoon Kashyap, and Basic Education Officer Deepika Gupta. The district administration expressed its gratitude to PowerGrid for their support.
