Eastern Railways schedule to observe Shravani Mela 2025 with a seamless fervour.

In view of the forthcoming Shravani Mela 2025, Eastern Railway has intensified its preparedness to ensure the safety and convenience of passengers. As part of these proactive efforts, comprehensive inspection focusing on safety protocols and passenger amenities were conducted at important junctions of the Eastern Railways. The congregational points – Sheoraphuli; Tarakeswar; Jasidih; Deoghar; Sultan Ganj are under the strict vigil of Railway Protection Force Braveheart’s.

To effectively manage the expected surge in crowd and ensure a smooth passenger experience, Eastern Railway is implementing a series of arrangements at the above congregational stations:

  • Dedicated entry and exit gates for streamlining crowd movement;
  • Availability of potable drinking water and clean toilet facilities;
  • Enhanced cleanliness and housekeeping measures;
  • Functioning train display boards and clear audio announcements;
  • Additional ticket counters to reduce passenger wait times;
  • Well maintained Foot Over Bridge (FOB) and escalator services;
  • Provision of First Aid and Medical Camps for emergency support;
  • Improved station lighting for better visibility and safety.

Apart from infrastructural facilities, Eastern Railways have decided to augment train services by:

  • Providing additional trains on selected routes;
  • Existing ‘Limited Stoppage Trains’ to be operated as ‘Temporary All Stop Trains’ during the Mela Period.

  • Sultanganj Station –

Special trains:

03480 / 03479: Jamalpur – Sultanganj – Jamalpur Shravani Mela passenger special will run from 11.07.2025 to 09.08.2025 (30 trips each) for the convenience of the Shravani Mela devotees.

03480: Jamalpur – Sultanganj Shravani Mela passenger special will leave Jamalpur at 09:05 hours to reach Sultanganj at 10:45 hours on the same day;

03479: Sultanganj – Jamalpur Shravani Mela passenger special will leave Sultanganj at 11:15 hours to reach Jamalpur at 12:40 hours The special train will stop at all enroute stations between Jamalpur & Sultanganj.

03442 / 03441: Jamalpur – Deoghar – Jamalpur Shravani Mela passenger special will run on every Sunday between 13.07.2025 & 10.08.2025 (05 trips each).

03442: Jamalpur – Deoghar Shravani Mela passenger special will leave Jamalpur at 05:10 hours to reach Deoghar at 10:10 hours on the same day;

03441 Deoghar – Jamalpur Shravani Mela passenger special will leave Deoghar at 15:45 hours to reach Jamalpur at 22:05 hours on the same day.

03444 / 03443: Deoghar – Godda – Deoghar Shravani Mela passenger special will run on every Sunday between 13.07.2025 & 10.08.2025 (05 trips each).

03444: Deoghar – Godda Shravani Mela passenger special will leave Deoghar at 10:45 hours to reach Godda at 12:40 hours on the same day;

03443: Godda – Deoghar Shravani Mela passenger special will leave Godda at 13:15 hours to reach Deoghar at 15:05 hours on the same day.

Additional stoppage of Trains:

Following trains will provide two (02) minutes stoppage at Sultanganj station on nominated days during Mela period:   

  • 15619: Gaya – Kamakhaya weekly Express will arrive Sultanganj at 17:45 hours
  • 15620: Kamakhaya – Gaya weekly Express   will arrive Sultanganj at 00:11 hours
  • 12253: Yesvantpur – Bhagalpur weekly Anga Express will arrive Sultanganj at 08:04 hours
  • 12254: Bhagalpur – Yesvantpur weekly Anga Express will arrive Sultanganj at 14:08 hours
  • 13423: Bhagalpur – Ajmer weekly Express will arrive Sultanganj at 13:38 hours
  • 13424: Ajmer – Bhagalpur weekly Express will arrive Sultanganj at 13:50 hours
  • 13429: Malda Town – Anand Vihar weekly Express will arrive Sultanganj at 13:02 hours
  • 13430: Anand Vihar – Malda Town weekly Express will arrive Sultanganj at 17:55 hours
  • Deoghar Station –

05027 / 05028 Deoghar – Barhni – Deoghar Shravani Mela special.

05028: Barhni – Deoghar Shravani Mela Special will leave Barhni at 17:30 hours daily from 09.07.2025 to 10.08.2025 (33 trips) to reach Deoghar at 13:00 hours on the next day;

05027: Deoghar – Barhni Shravani Mela Special will leave Deoghar at 18:45 hours daily from 10.07.2025 to 11.08.2025 (33 trips) to reach Barhni at 12:30 hours on the next day.

The special train will stop at Sohratgarh, Siddharth Nagar, Anand Nagar, Gorakhpur, Chauri Chaura, Deoria Sadar, Bhatni, Mairwa, Siwan, Ekma, Chhapra, Dighwara, Sonpur, Hajipur, Desari, Shahpur Patoree, Bachhwara, Barauni, Begusarai, Sahibpur Kamal, Monghyr, Sultanganj, Bhagalpur, Barahat Junction and Banka Junction stations in both directions enroute.  

The train will have General Second Class & Sleeper class accommodations.

  • Madhupur Station –

08855: Gondia – Madhupur Shravani Mela special will leave Gondia at 12:30 hours on every Friday & Monday between 11.07.2025 & 04.08.2025 (08 trips) to reach Madhupur at 12:30 hours on the next day.

08856: Madhupur – Gondia Shravani Mela special will leave Madhupur at 14:30 hours on every Saturday & Tuesday between 12.07.2025 & 05.08.2025 (08 trips) to reach Gondia at 17:00 hours on the next day.

The train will stop at 28 stations’ including Chittaranjan, Asansol, Durgapur, Barddhaman and Dankuni stations over Eastern Railway jurisdictions in both directions enroute.

The train will have General Second Class, Sleeper Class & Air-conditioned Accommodations.

  • Asansol Station –

Railway has decided to run 03511 / 03512: Asansol – Patna – Asansol unreserved Shravani Mela special.

03511:  Asansol – Patna Shravani Mela special will leave Asansol at 17:00 hours on every Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday between 11.07.2025 & 09.08.2025 (22 trips) to reach Patna at 01:30 hours on the next day;

03512: Patna – Asansol Shravani Mela special will leave Patna at 02:50 hours on every Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday between 12.07.2025 & 10.08.2025 (22 trips) to reach Asansol at 10:30 hours on the same day. The train will stop at Chittaranjan, Madhupur, Jasidih, Jhajha, Jamui, Kiul, Luckeesarai, Mankatha, Barahiya, Hatidah, Mokama, Barh, Bakhtiyarpur, Khusropur, Fatuha, Patna Saheb & Rajendra Nagar stations enroute in both directions.

The train will have General second Class accommodation.

  • Howrah Station –

Four (04) pairs of Howrah – Tarakeswar – Howrah EMU special will run to transport the pilgrims from Howrah to Tarakeswar facilitating Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva.

Howrah – Tarakeswar EMU Specials will leave Howrah at 00:30 hours, 04:15 hours, 12:40 hours & 13:20 hours to reach Tarakeswar at 02:00 hours, 05:45 hours, 14:10 hours & 14:50 hours respectively.

Similarly, after Shiv Darshan, to bring the devotees back to Howrah, Tarakeswar – Howrah EMU Specials will leave Tarakeswar at 02:30 hours, 10:55 hours, 11:35 hours & 21:17 hours to reach Howrah at 04:00 hours, 12:25 hours, 13:05 hours & 22:47 hours respectively.

  • Sheoraphuli Station:

Eastern Railway has also arranged five (05) pair EMU Specials between Sheoraphuli & Tarakeswar.

Sheoraphuli – Tarakeswar EMU Special will leave Sheoraphuli at 06:55 hours, 09:20 hours, 11:05 hours, 16:15 hours and 19:35 hours to reach Tarakeswar at 07:45 hours, 10:10 hours, 11:53 hours, 17:05 hours and 20:25 hours respectively.

In the opposite direction, Tarakeswar – Sheoraphuli EMU Special will leave Tarakeswar at 05:55 hours, 08:20 hours, 10:05 hours, 14:46 hours and 18:35 hours to reach Sheoraphuli at 06:45 hours, 09:10 hours, 10:55 hours, 15:36 hours and 19:25 hours respectively.
