Efforts should be made to resolve disputes instead of prolonging them – Justice Gautam Bhaduri.
Justice Mr. Gautam Bhaduri, Judge, Chhattisgarh High Court Bilaspur and Executive Chairman, Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority Bilaspur today officially inaugurated the National Lok Adalat in Korba. In his address on this occasion, Justice Mr. Bhaduri said that the objective and effort of Lok Adalat is to put an end to mutual fights and disputes as soon as possible. Both parties go home satisfied with the Lok Adalat. There are many such cases in which there is a possibility of win or loss as soon as the case is filed. Against this, an appeal is made in the High Court and Supreme Court and as a lawyer and judge, I have experienced how expensive it is to fight a case. He said that if someone is a litigant, entangled in a case, then there is always tension in the mind, which also causes ill health. The progress you want to make, the progress you want to move forward in life, is stopped somewhere.
Judge Shri Bhaduri said that as long as society exists, there will be conflicts in it, because this is something that goes on with society. You must have seen in photography that a positive photo is made from a negative. There are negative things in society too, as long as there are people, there will be some mutual disputes. The platform of Lok Adalat is an effort to reduce disputes and solve the solvable cases. Judge Shri Bhaduri said that at the national level, Chhattisgarh state is ahead of many other big states in resolving cases, for this the judges, advocates and parties deserve congratulations.
Justice Shri Bhaduri said that after the dispute is over, one can move ahead towards progress. One can focus on some work. You will see that the litigants have fights over ego and petty issues. You can try to resolve such disputes. He said that if a case has to be run, it will go on for a long time. Therefore, if you take two steps, they will also take two steps. The lawyer and the judge try to end the dispute quickly. In Lok Adalat, people hug each other and leave. Some cases take a lot of time. By the time the decision comes after the appeal, it is too late. He said that if something is not received on time, its importance ends. Therefore, time should be utilized properly. Instead of unnecessarily promoting disputes, maximum cases should be resolved. Lok Adalat has been organized with the purpose of ending disputes. All of you should take advantage of it. He wished everyone good luck for organizing Lok Adalat.
On this occasion, District and Sessions Judge of Korba District Mr. Satyendra Sahu, Special Judge Atrocity Mr. Jaideep Garg, President of District Bar Association Mr. Ganesh Kuldeep along with judges, office bearers of Bar Association, officers of district administration and advocates were present.
