Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized that marriage holds a sacred place in Indian culture, being a profound bond that transcends lifetimes. He highlighted that marriage not only unites the bride and groom but also serves as a significant rite that brings together two families with diverse cultures, rituals, and traditions.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressed the mass marriage ceremony organized under the Mukhya Mantri Kanyadaan Yojana at Tendukheda in Damoh district through the video conferencing facility at the Old Terminal of Indore Airport. The event was graced by the presence of Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Smt. Savitri Thakur, and Member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council, Dr. Mahendra Singh. Dr. Yadav congratulated the newlyweds and wished them a happy and prosperous life. He emphasized the state’s commitment to relieving every parent of the worry of their daughter’s marriage through the Mukhya Mantri Kanyadaan Yojana, which provides Rs 55,000 in assistance to each bride. He urged society to eliminate the evils associated with marriage and avoid unnecessary showmanship. Dr. Yadav highlighted that the marriage ceremonies under this scheme are becoming unique rituals of social harmony, encompassing both Hindu marriages and Nikah ceremonies. He stressed that girls should be regarded as part of one’s own family, not as outsiders.
