CM Dhami Flags Off First Batch of Kailash Mansarovar Pilgrims from Tanakpur

From Devbhoomi to Shiv Dham: CM Dhami Launches Kailash Mansarovar Yatra

On Saturday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off the first batch of Kailash Mansarovar pilgrims from the Tourism Guest House in Tanakpur, marking the ceremonial beginning of the sacred journey. He warmly welcomed the pilgrims with traditional Uttarakhandi hospitality and presented them with souvenirs reflecting the state’s rich cultural heritage.

Pilgrims from 11 different states were part of this inaugural group, and the Chief Minister personally interacted with them, extending heartfelt greetings on behalf of the people of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand.

CM Dhami emphasized that the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is not merely a physical pilgrimage but a profound journey of spiritual awakening and inner transformation. He stated, “This journey is a blessing granted to a fortunate few and is a path of devotion, faith, and divine connection with Lord Shiva.”

He further noted that every grain of Uttarakhand’s holy soil resonates with the presence of Lord Shiva, making the region a natural gateway to Kailash. CM Dhami credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership for transforming the yatra—what once took seven or more days is now possible within a few hours, thanks to infrastructure improvements and connectivity enhancements.

The Uttarakhand government, he reiterated, is fully committed to ensuring the yatra is smooth, safe, and comfortable. Comprehensive arrangements have been made at every halt—covering healthcare, accommodation, food, security, and other essential services—so that no pilgrim faces inconvenience during the sacred journey.

The Chief Minister offered prayers to Lord Bholenath for the pilgrims’ safe, successful, and blessed journey.

Pilgrims expressed deep gratitude for the warm hospitality shown by the people of Champawat and praised the excellent arrangements made by the Uttarakhand government that made their spiritual journey both memorable and safe.
