Inputs from Union Tourism Ministry Should Be Included in the Formulation of Rajasthan’s Adventure Tourism Policy: RTDC Chairman
Jaipur : The Principal Secretary of Tourism, Art, Culture, and Archaeology Department and Chairman of RTDC, Mr. Rajesh Yadav, has directed that inputs from the Union Ministry of Tourism should be incorporated into the process of drafting Rajasthan’s Adventure Tourism Policy.
In a review meeting held at the Tourism Bhawan in Jaipur on Thursday, in the presence of Tourism Commissioner and RTDC Managing Director Ms. Rukmani Riyad, Mr. Yadav emphasized the speedy implementation and effective monitoring of tourism-related MoUs signed for the state. He assigned district-wise responsibilities of MoU implementation to senior officials posted in the Directorate, who are now conducting meetings with investors. He instructed officials to ensure time-bound execution of these MoUs at the grassroots level.
During the meeting, Mr. Yadav reviewed the progress of departmental schemes, ongoing construction works, and key issues raised in previous sessions concerning various branches of the tourism department such as:
- Fairs and Festivals
- Tourist Protection Force (TAF)
- Accounts, Development, and Investment branches
- Jaipur Tourism Information Center
- RTDC
- Rajasthan Heritage Authority
- Archaeology Department
- Amer Development and Management Authority
- Ravindra Manch
- Jawahar Kala Kendra
Grand Celebration of Teej Festival
Mr. Yadav reviewed preparations for the Teej festival and instructed that the event be organized with grandeur and wide participation.
Digitalization of 345 Monuments
He directed the Archaeology Department to initiate the digitalization of archaeological assets, instructing them to prepare a cost estimate for digitalizing 345 monuments.
Traffic Management Near Hawa Mahal
Addressing the frequent traffic congestion in front of Hawa Mahal, he instructed the Deputy Director (TAF) to coordinate with traffic police to ensure smooth movement for tourists. He further directed the Deputy Director to regularly inspect the area and maintain efficient traffic arrangements.
Regular Training for Tourist Protection Force (TAF)
To strengthen the capacity of TAF personnel, the Principal Secretary directed that annual training programs be held regularly. He proposed a training session for October 2025 at the Police Academy in Jaipur and instructed officers to proceed with the planning.
Present at the meeting were Rajesh Singh, Executive Director of RTDC and Additional Director of Tourism Administration (additional charge); Mohammad Abubakr, Joint Secretary, Tourism; Anand Tripathi and Pawan Jain, Additional Directors of Tourism, along with several other departmental officers.
