India Advancing Under PM, Rajasthan Shines in Cooperatives: Amit Shah
Sahkar & Rozgar Utsav Held in Dadiya: Under PM’s Leadership, India Becoming Prosperous, Secure & Developed – Terrorists Eliminated in Operation Sindoor; Rajasthan Among Top 5 States in Cooperatives – Union Home & Cooperation Minister Amit Shah
Jaipur : Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is becoming a prosperous, secure, and developed nation. Referring to military actions taken under PM Modi’s leadership – the surgical strike after the Uri attack, air strike after Pulwama, and Operation Sindoor after the cowardly attack in Pahalgam – Shah said, “We entered Pakistan and eliminated terrorists in their own backyard.” He added that PM Modi has sent a clear message to the world: India’s borders, soldiers, and citizens cannot be tampered with without consequences.
Shri Shah was addressing the ‘Sahkar & Rozgar Utsav’ in Dadiya, Jaipur on Thursday. He praised Rajasthan as the land of valour, patriotism, and religious protection, which gave birth to legendary figures like Rana Sanga, Maharana Pratap, Veer Durgadas Rathore, Rani Padmini, Pannadhay, and Bhamashah. Rajasthan, he said, plays a major role in agricultural growth, producing over 90% of India’s guar, and ranks first in the production of mustard, millet, sesame, and other grains.
Crackdown on Paper Leak Mafia
Shri Shah praised the Rajasthan government led by CM Bhajanlal Sharma for taking swift action against the paper leak mafia by forming a Special Investigation Team (SIT). He mentioned that at the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, MoUs worth over ₹35 lakh crore were signed, with projects worth ₹3 lakh crore already underway. Other key achievements include VAT reduction on fuel, ₹450 LPG cylinders, Ram Jal Setu Link Project, Navnera Barrage, and water supply under Jal Jeevan Mission.
India Becomes World’s 4th Largest Economy
Shri Shah noted that the Modi government has provided homes, toilets, electricity, LPG, food rations, and ₹5 lakh in free healthcare to 60 crore Indians, lifting 27 crore people above the poverty line. Rajasthan is implementing all central schemes effectively under CM Sharma’s leadership.
Cooperatives Reaching Every Village, Farmer, and Poor Citizen
Shah emphasized that the 21st century belongs to cooperatives, with 98% of rural India now involved in the cooperative movement. Cooperatives contribute to 20% of wheat and rice procurement, 35% of fertilizer production, and run 30% of sugar production and 20% of fair price shops.
Rajasthan Among Top 5 in Cooperative Innovations
India has 8.5 lakh cooperative societies with 31 crore members. In the last 4 years, 61 cooperative reforms have been implemented. Work on 2 lakh new Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) is ongoing, with 40,000 already completed. Rajasthan, under CM Sharma, is among the top 5 states in embracing cooperative innovations.
State Government to Introduce New Cooperative Code
CM Bhajanlal Sharma said the state is strengthening cooperative societies and PACS, with over 41,000 cooperative societies and 1.1 crore members. So far, 976 new multi-purpose PACS (M-PACS) have been formed, and all remaining gram panchayats will soon have village cooperative societies. A new cooperative code is also in development.
Over 75,000 Youths Appointed to Govt Jobs
The CM announced that over 75,000 youth have been appointed to government positions, 28,000 more posts are being advertised, and 2 lakh recruitments are in the pipeline.
Plan to Uplift 10,000 BPL Villages
The state launched the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Antyodaya Sambal Fortnight, helping lakhs of needy families. Under the “Garibi-Mukt Gaon Yojana”, 10,000 villages will be targeted to lift all BPL families above the poverty line — surveys are complete in 5,000 villages, and work is ongoing in the rest.
Committed to Farmer Welfare & Women’s Empowerment
The Kisan Samman Nidhi in Rajasthan has been increased to ₹9,000, with plans to raise it to ₹12,000. So far, ₹6,800 crore has been disbursed to 76 lakh farmers. The government is working to ensure daytime electricity for farming and is committed to holistic women empowerment.
Minister of State for Cooperation (Independent Charge) Gautam Kumar Dak noted that the establishment of the Ministry of Cooperation has boosted the sector, and in just 4 years it has strengthened the cooperative movement nationwide.
Key Launches & Distribution by Amit Shah
Shri Amit Shah virtually inaugurated:
- 24 grain warehouses under the World’s Mega Food Storage Plan
- 64 millet outlets
- Online registration platform for White Revolution 2.0 PDCs
He distributed:
- ₹12 crore in loans to 1,400 beneficiaries under Gopal Credit Card Yojana
- 2,346 micro-ATMs to dairy cooperative societies
- Appointment letters to over 8,000 youth
- Symbolic cheques and certificates to scheme beneficiaries
He also launched the “Lakshya-Path-Pran-Antyodaya” book detailing the achievements of the Antyodaya Sambal Fortnight.
Before the event, Shri Shah flagged off 100 new police vehicles and visited the exhibition showcasing Cooperation Department’s achievements.
